Akara Fishing helps Mike Howe and partner WIN in Montana!
West Yellowstone, MT- Akara Fishing pro staffer, seasoned tournament angler, Mike Howe, and partner, Jason Mundel, take the top spot at the North American Ice Fishing Circuit event on Hebgen Lake. Catching thier 6 rainbow trout to weigh a total of 14.44lbs, Mike and Jason take home thetreasured wooden plaque trophies as well as a check for $10,000!
Conditions were tough, as the morning of the tournament began at -23° F and slush on top of the ice made travel difficult all week, while trying to pre-fish for the event. Mike and Jason overcame all adversity and utilized Akara spoons and tungsten jigs to catch their winning fish.
